Good evening Ambazonians. This is Akoson Raymond, the Spokesperson of the Ambazonia Governing Council, AGovC with this week’s edition of the People’s Weekly Briefing. Today is Sunday February 14, 2021.

Whereas Articles 54 & 55.1 of the Charter of the Ambazonia Governing Council, AGovC;

Whereas the internal organization and smooth functioning of the AGovC;

Whereas the AGovC’s sacred mission to free Ambazonia and reinstitute democracy;

The Ambazonia Governing Council announces as follows:

  1. That the Ambazonia Council of Missions organized election to the Presidency and Vice Presidency of the AGovC on February 9, 2021 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Amba time;
  2. That as per the official results transmitted by the Chairman of the Committee for Rules and Order of the Council of Missions to the Chairperson of the National Council, Dr. Ayaba Cho Lucas of the Savannah States and Dr. Julius Nyih of the Atlantic states have been re-elected as the President and Vice President respectively;
  3. That Dr. Ayaba Cho Lucas registered fourteen (14) Caucus votes out of fifteen with a percentage point of 94%. Comrade Horace Ngulla, the challenger to the incumbent registered one (1) Caucus vote out of fifteen (15) with a percentage point of 6%. Dr. Julius Nyih scored 100% of the votes cast to maintain the position of Vice President.
  1. That the Chairperson of the Committee for Rules and Order of the Council of Missions, in a solemn in-camera session, swore in the President-elect and Vice President-elect on February 11, 2021. Dr. Ayaba Cho Lucas maintains his leadership of the governing cancel for his last term of four years.

In diplomacy, the Ambazonia Governing Council congratulates Mr. Karim Khan on his election as the new Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, the ICC. The AGovC is optimistic that with a 28-year-old career; including, having served in the International Criminal

Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former -Yugoslavia (ICTY), the Extraordinary Chambers within the Cambodian Courts (ECCC), the Special Court for Lebanon and the Special Court for Sierra Leone, Mr. Khan stands in good stead to cause the prosecution of perpetrators of Genocide in Ambazonia.

In the meantime, the AGovC President has instructed the Department of Human Rights and Humanitarian Services, the AGovC Secretariat and the Office of the Secretary of State to immediately request the office of the new ICC Prosecutor to use the powers of the office under the Rome based statutes to launch an investigation of Crimes of Genocide, War Crimes and Crimes against Humanity committed by Cameroon in Ambazonia.

Still in diplomacy, the office of the AGovC spokesperson has received numerous calls for comment on the Visit of the Vatican Secretary of State to the Bamenda Ecclesiastical province.

May it be known that the Ambazonia Governing Council, the AGovC rejects calls from certain quotas inciting violence against the Roman Catholic church. We most unequivocally condemn such calls and hereby tag them as unAmbazonian.

We believe that freedom of speech as well as religious, political affiliations and freedom of assembly are fundamental human rights that must, at all times, be protected. It is a sacrosanct Ambazonian tradition to respect the assembly of persons for worship purposes. Much as the Ambazonia/Vatican diplomatic connection is only at its infancy at the moment, the visit of the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin to Bamenda two weeks ago was purely a religious and not a political visit.

It is important for Ambazonians to know that at the close of the year 2020, the Head of the Roman Catholic Church and the Sovereign of the Vatican City State, Pope Francis appointed Bishop Andrew Nkea as the Ash bishop of the Bamenda Ecclesiastical Province. Consequently, the visit by Secretary of State Parolin was to bestow upon Archbishop Andrew Nkea with the Pallium — a liturgical vestment from the pope that is a symbol of participation in papal authority. Believers of the Catholic Doctrine decided to gather to witness the ceremony. And it is not the fault of these Catholic Faithful that Cameroon’s officials from Yaoundé decided to steal into the ceremony.

Those pretending to be fighting for Ambazonia had all the opportunity to have blocked Cameroon’s colonial officials from accessing Ambazonia all the way at the Mungo or at the Bafoussam/Bamenda borders.

Whatever the case, may it be known this February 14, 2021 that: any targeting of Catholic Christians and or their property and or the property of the Catholic church by some miscreants pretending to be fighting for the Ambazonia Liberation War is NOT IN THE NAME OF THE AMBAZONIAN PEOPLE. And the Ambazonia Governing Council, the AGovC shall immediately tag such actions as terrorism designed, hatched, and planned from the diaspora.

And again, still in diplomacy, the AGovC is aware that twelve members of the UK Parliament have tabled a bill similar to that recently passed by the US Senate. As international pressure mounts on Cameroon, we ask the people of Ambazonia to multiply their efforts towards building a stronger Ambazonia Defense Force. And this brings us to Defense matters.

IN DEFENSE

The month of February alone has led to the destruction of two French Cameroon armored cars and seven of their soldiers killed by the Ambazonia Defense Forces, ADF. If we add this to the casualties Cameroon registered in January 2021, the AGovC can confidently announce that the Defense Stabilization package that came with upgrade in the ADF’s weaponry is worth the salt. Again, may we emphasize that terrorist attack after terrorist attack by Cameroon forces in Ambazonia has yet to cause the world community towards taking bolder actions. Cameroon’s terrorist actions in Ambazonia do not appear to be going away anytime soon.

Ambazonians must step up their financial commitment. The ADF has to upgrade once again to more sophisticated weaponry – weaponry capable of launching long range projectiles to selected targets in Cameroon. Please, go to www.ttof.net and make a financial commitment.

On Cameroon’s continued list of atrocities in Ambazonia.

The AGovC Leadership watched the gory images of a Ndu teen tortured and filmed for sadistic pleasure by Cameroon’s occupation forces on February 13, 2021. Findings show that the teen died shortly afterwards. The Intelligence Unit of the ADF has identified the perpetrators and retaliatory actions are non-negotiable. Justice must and will be served.

On Financial Matters

Disclaimer: The AGovC Leadership warns the public that the AGovC or the ADF has not contracted with or partnered with any persons or group of persons to collect finances for the organization of the AGovC’s behalf. All support to the ADF forces go to www.ttof.net and should donors wish to remain anonymous, please, contact us on whatsapp: +1 905-782-0911.

About an Ambazonian Leadership Meeting

It is crystal clear that there are two main groups in the Ambazonia Liberation War: the AGovC and the IG. The AGovC urges the faction of the IG led by Pastor Samuel Sako and that led by Sisiku Julius AyukTabe as well as all their satellite support groups to come together, reconcile their differences and form a unique platform. After which, they may then engage the AGovC for a genuine collaborative platform. Anything short of this is mere political posturing, positioning for personal aggrandizement and cheap photo ops.
