Menja Fako:Destruction: Of Cameroon Occupation Forces

On April 15th, 2019, the Menja Fako State of Ambazonia witnessed a devastating display of destruction at the hands of the Cameroon occupation forces. This tragic event left a lasting mark on the community, highlighting the brutal consequences of war and occupation in Ambazonia.

The properties destroyed during this dark chapter included homes, schools, hospitals, and businesses, representing the very fabric of daily life for the people of Menja Fako. The indiscriminate nature of the destruction showed a blatant disregard for civilian lives and basic human rights.

Homes, once places of shelter and safety, were reduced to rubble, displacing families and leaving them without essential resources. Schools, which should have been centers of learning and hope for the future, were turned into scenes of devastation, denying children their right to education.

The destruction of hospitals and healthcare facilities further exacerbated an already dire humanitarian situation, depriving the population of crucial medical services during a time of urgent need. Businesses that were vital to the local economy were also targeted, causing economic hardship and deepening the suffering of the people.

The aftermath of such destruction goes beyond physical damage; it leaves emotional and psychological scars that can take generations to heal. Communities are left traumatized, struggling to rebuild not just their infrastructure but also their sense of security and trust.

The international community must not turn a blind eye to such atrocities. It is imperative to hold accountable those responsible for these acts of destruction and to work towards a peaceful resolution that respects the rights and dignity of all people in Ambazonia
