Between April 11th and April 14th, Ambazonia has endured unspeakable atrocities at the hands of the Cameroon Occupation Forces. Over 150 innocent civilians have been brutally torn from their families, forcibly abducted from Bafut Agiati, and unlawfully detained, their cries for freedom drowned out by the deafening silence of the International Community. In a heart-wrenching tragedy, Awazi Bah Junior and his daughter were cruelly killed in Up Station Bamenda, their lives extinguished by the barbarity of oppression.
War Crimes in Ambazonia
The AGovC has also received reports of a horrifying incident of rape of a young woman in Batibo. An elderly man, a revered elder of our community, faced a brutal and senseless execution in Kumbo. And in Bali, a civilian, whose only crime was daring to dream of a free Ambazonia, was unjustly robbed of their life while in detention, a stark reminder of the ruthlessness of our oppressors. These events speak to the depths of depravity to which our oppressors will sink in their quest to crush our spirit.
But let this be known: the Ambazonia Governing Council stands unwavering in its resolve. We issue this urgent SOS alert not as a plea for sympathy, but as a rallying cry for justice. We will not rest until every perpetrator of these heinous crimes is held accountable before the world.
The crimes perpetrated against the people of Ambazonia are clear violations of international humanitarian law and constitute egregious war crimes. The forced abduction and detention of civilians, the brutal killings of innocent individuals, including women, children, and elderly, the widespread use of sexual violence as a tool of terror, and the arbitrary executions of unarmed civilians all stand in stark violation of fundamental principles established by international conventions. These actions contravene the Geneva Conventions, which outline protections for civilians in times of conflict, and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, which categorically prohibits acts such as genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. The systematic targeting of civilians and the deliberate infliction of suffering upon non-combatants demonstrate a flagrant disregard for the laws of war and demand urgent attention and accountability from the international community.
As we compile a detailed report, documenting these war crimes,
As we compile a detailed report documenting these war crimes, we do so with a solemn vow to honor the memory of the fallen and to fight relentlessly for the liberation of Ambazonia. The gravity of these offenses underscores the urgent need for international intervention to halt the escalating violence and protect innocent lives.
Together, we will rise. Together, we will prevail. Ambazonia shall be free! Warm regards,
