June 17, 2022, Kumbo ,Bui State, Northern Ambazonia: Several teachers were kidnapped, further escalating the ongoing violence in Ambazonia. This area has been at the center of unrest due to the prolonged war between Cameroon government forces and Ambazonia Fighters. Moreover, local sources and media revealed that members of the Cameroon Occupational Forces abducted the teachers from their school. The act appeared to be a deliberate effort to disrupt education and discredit the Ambazonia Fighters. Also, they advised parents to keep their children in safer, non-targeted areas.
