August 9, 2024, Bamenda, Mezam State Northern Ambazonia: Cameroon Occupation Forces Rampant Crimes And Atrocities in Bamenda Ambazonia. which began in 2017, has escalated into a devastating armed war in Ambazonia. the situation has dire humanitarian consequences, with thousands dead, hundreds of thousands displaced, and widespread suffering.

Over 7,000 people have lost their lives due to the war.

Approximately 765,000 individuals have been displaced within Ambazonia, while over 70,000 have sought refuge in neighboring Nigeria.

An estimated 600,000 children have been deprived of effective schooling.

  1. Longstanding Grievances: The Rampant Crimes was triggered by grievances of Cameroon Occupation Forces. These included the use of French in schools and courts, marginalization in government appointments, and neglect in infrastructure investment in Ambazonia
  2. Miscalculated Force: The Cameroon Occupation Forces use of violence to suppress dissent, Ambazonia determination. Simultaneously, the Cameroon occupation forces misjudged the situation, assuming that concerted force could topple the Ambazonian.
