The ongoing Cameroon Ambazonia war has its roots in historical tensions. Ambazonia, once a British trusteeship territory, seeks independence from Cameroon. The Ambazonia movement emerged in 2017, fueled by grievances related to language, culture, and political representation. The war has led to loss of life, displacement, and human rights violations.

Atrocities Against Ambazonia

Cameroon occupation forces have shown a disregard for human life, especially when it comes to Ambazonian civilians. Violations include abuse, kidnapping, rape, and torture, often without any provocation or crime committed by the civilians. These actions have caused immense suffering and perpetuated the cycle of violence.

Incident in Bamenda

On Saturday, July 27, 2024, in Bamenda, Cameroon occupation forces committed a heinous act. A bike rider was struck by a truck belonging to the Cameroon forces, which was traveling at a high speed. The rider lost their life due to this reckless action, adding to the toll of violence and suffering in Ambazonia.

Death Toll, Displacement, and Deprivation

more than 7,000 death at the cost of this war and displaced 765,000. Over 70,000 are refugees in Nigeria. More than 2 million need humanitarian support and 600,000 children have been deprived of effective schooling.

Seeking Justice

The international community must hold Cameroon Government responsible accountable for their actions. Justice is essential to prevent further harm and promote peace.
